About usOverviewCareer Source is a non-profit comprehensive career center with offices in Cambridge and Everett. We are part of the One-Stop Career Center System in Massachusetts. Our center offers employment and training services to both job-seekers and employers. Job-seeker services include job-search counseling and workshops, eligibility assessment for career training, job matching, and access to our Career Library. Services to employers include candidate referrals, recruitment events, applicant screening, and outplacement. Last year Career Source served over 9000 people and more than 400 employers.
StaffThe staff at Career Source provides a variety of services, including: career counseling, job placement, employer services, referral to training, a career and internship program for youth, job search assistance for veterans and individuals with disabilities, stress management counseling, and information on unemployment benefits.SENIOR MANAGEMENTThomas Belski, President Linda Rohrer, Director (617) 661-7867 ext. 225 lrohrer@detma.org Linda joined the ERI team in 2008 and is responsible for the overall management and direction of Career Source. Her previous experience includes developing and directing workforce development programs for disadvantaged adults and dislocated workers, and creating and managing industry-focused initiatives to meet employer workforce needs while providing advancement opportunities for workers. Linda has a bachelor's degree in social work from the State University of New York, and a master's degree in education from the University of Massachusetts. Richard Egan, Assistant Director/Manager of Career Source Everett (617) 389-8025 ext. 231 regan@detma.org Richard has led the Everett location of Career Source since 2003. Previous to this position, he was a career counselor at Career Source in Cambridge. Before joining Career Source, he worked as a project coordinator, community organizer, counselor and teacher in South America and the U.S. Richard holds a master's degree in management and a bachelor's degree in philosophy. |
