School-to-Career Program:
Purpose of Program
To increase a skilled applicant pool of workers and to develop
effective work-readiness opportunities for students, Career Source, a
One-Stop Career Center located in Cambridge and Everett, has expanded
its services to employers by placing qualified high school students in
temporary, work-study/internship positions with participating
businesses.

Applicants
Our applicant pool is varied, and includes students from Malden,
Melrose, Medford, Cambridge, Somerville, Everett, Revere, Chelsea,
Winthrop, and Watertown.
Placement Areas
Applicants are profiled and "matched" depending on their skill sets and
aptitudes. Training areas include: GIS, A+ Certification, Nortel
NetKnowledge Network, Desktop Publishing, Graphic and Web Design, as
well as administrative & office services, adjunct health services,
culinary arts and childcare services.

Career Source facilitates placements with high school coordinators
